Manchester United on Monday night, August 27, suffered another embarrassing defeat in the Premier League as they were defeated by Tottenham 3-0 at Old Trafford.
The Red Devils went into this game with the hopes of getting the maximum three points after losing their last tie at Brighton, but United made their fans livid again.
Although there was no goal scored in the first 45 minutes, but Jose Mourinho's were completely dominated by Tottenham in front of their fans.
Premier League side Manchester United may have started the new campaign poorly but if history is anything to go by, the Jose Mourinho tutored-side can still storm back to reckoning and cart home the silverware.
At the last count, United were hammered 3-0 by Tottenham at Old Trafford, meaning that they have just three points from their opening three matches in the English topflight in the new season.
According to a UK Daily Mail report, the Red Devils lost their two opening three games of a season 26 years ago during the 1992-93 campaign, but ended up claiming the league top prize.
During the campaign Manchester United were able to garner an impressive 84 points haul.
And in the course of the season the Sir Alex Ferguson tutored-side lost their opening fixtures 2-1 to Sheffield United and 3-0 to Everton in their first home game.
Interestingly, 26 years on the Red Devils are on a similar path after winning their opening tie against Leicester, they have suffered two defeats to Brighton and Tottenham and would be desperate to return to winning ways after Monday night’s humiliating 3-0 home loss.
Already, the Red Devils recent poor form has piled more pressure on Portuguese boss Mourinho ahead of Week 4 tough trip to Burnley on Sunday.
Harry Kane set the goal rolling with a header from a corner before Lucas Moura sealed the win for Spurs with a brace on the night.
