British Tabloid Sued By Beyonce's Dad

According to the Voice, BEYONCE'S FATHER has begun legal action against The Sun newspaper after accusing the tabloid of "misrepresenting" his relationship with the star.

Mathew Knowles' lawsuit against the Rupert Murdoch owned publication concerns an article published on March 24 this year with the headline “Former manager talks about family rift for the first time”.

The 62-year-old claims the newspaper "knowingly" skewed information after he gave an interview to them.
The news piece referred to an alleged fall-out between Knowles and the Grown Woman singer after his role as her manager ended in 2011.

Announcing the legal claim in a statement to E!, Knowles said: "My daughters and my family mean the world to me.
"The barrage of repeated falsehoods spawned by the British Sun's defamatory article has been exhausting and personally damaging to me."

He added: "No matter how many papers it sells or web hits it generates, The Sun, like any newspaper, needs to maintain a basic level of journalistic integrity.
"The Sun crossed the line when it went after my family.
"This happens too often to too many people, and it is simply unfair."
