Rival Naomi Campbell Took Over, BNT Model Show Cancelled

Elle Macpherson has lost the battle of the model shows as Britain and Ireland's Next Top Model has been axed.

The announcement comes following the launch of another modelling talent show The Face, fronted by rival supermodel Naomi Campbell.
The Sun has reported that Sky Living has decided it doesn't want two model shows, and so is axing Next Top Model after nine years, in favour of new show The Face.

Next Top Model saw aspiring models compete for the title and a modelling contract, judged by Elle, Dannii Minogue and Tyson Beckford. It has seen ratings drop to an average of just under 400,000 this year.
The Face sees supermodels Naomi, Caroline Winberg and Erin O'Connor mentor teams of aspiring models, also competing for a modelling contract. But since its launch in September it has apparently attracted only half the viewing figures of Next Top Model.
Next Top Model helped launch the career of Strictly Come Dancing contestant Abbey Clancy, who came second in 2006.
