Justin Bieber Tested Positive For Marijuana And Other Drugs

Justin Bieber tested positive for marijuana and the anti-anxiety drug Xanax after his arrest in South Florida, a preliminary toxicology report has revealed.

The report released on Thursday did not show any other illicit drugs in the pop star's system.
The 19-year-old singer was arrested last week in Miami Beach on charges of driving under the influence, resisting arrest and having an expired driver's licence.
Police said Bieber admitted to smoking marijuana, drinking and taking a prescription medication.
A police report said initial breath tests placed Bieber's blood-alcohol content below the .02 level considered intoxicated for under-21 drivers.

He is also under investigation for vandalism in Los Angeles over an egg-throwing incident where his neighbour's home was damaged.
Bieber's recent string of troubles prompted an online petition seeking to have him deported to his native Canada.
The petition on the White House website quickly garnered the 100,000 signatures needed to elicit a response from the Obama administration.

As of Thursday, the petition had exceeded the 200,000 mark.
A separate online appeal to keep Bieber in the US had less than 2,000 signatures.
Meanwhile, Toronto's scandal-plagued mayor Rob Ford defended of the oft-troubled teen during an interview on a Washington, DC-based radio station.
"Well, you know what, he's a young guy," Ford said on 106.7 The Fan, after the show's host called Bieber "Canada's worst export".
"At 19 years old, I wish I was as successful as he was. He's 19 years old, guys. Think back to when you were 19," Ford added.
