Drug Trafficker Granted Parole

A high-profile Australian drug smuggler has been granted parole in a case which has gripped her home country for years.
Schapelle Corby was dramatically arrested on the holiday island in 2005 for trying to smuggle in 4.1 kilograms (nine pounds) of marijuana in a bodyboard bag.
The 36-year-old was initially sentenced to 20 years in prison but has been granted parole from the notorious Kerobokan jail after serving nine.
The former Queensland beautician's well-documented mental illness, steadfast proclamation of innocence and fight to be freed has earned her sympathy, and commercial television networks and glossy magazines are desperate for the first interview.
The winning bidder will likely pay millions of dollars for the exclusive chat.

Channel 10's spokesman Neil Shoebridge said: "Like all media organisations, we'd love to get the interview. That's all we have to say."
Corby will not be able to return immediately to Australia. Instead, she will have to remain in Indonesia until 2017 when her sentence would be complete, as part of her parole conditions.
It is believed she will stay in Bali with her sister Mercedes, who has campaigned vigorously for her release.
The Australian public has been fascinated by Corby’s story ever since cameras went live to the Bali courtroom as the guilty verdict was handed down.
At the time she said: "I've never been involved in drugs, I don't like drugs, I wouldn't even know where to get the drugs from."

The three judges at her trial however disagreed, and she and her family shouted and screamed as the verdict was delivered.
Corby is just one of many Australians to be arrested for drug smuggling in Indonesia but her case has become something of a soap opera with cameras following every twist and turn.
Nicknamed by locals "Ganja Queen", Corby released an autobiography called My Story in 2006.
A TV movie is due to air on Channel 9.
