Tragedy has struck the ongoing National Conference as one of its delegates is dead.  According to family sources, the delegate, Alhaji Mohammed Hamma Misau, died on Thursday night at the National  Hospital, Abuja.

Alhaji Misau, a retired Assistant Inspector-General of Police from Bauchi State, according to his cousin, Mr. Mohammed Hamma, died during a brief illness at the age of 67.
The remains of the deceased were being taken to Misau, his home town in Bauchi State, as of the time of filing this report.
Hamma said the body would be buried according to Islamic rites shortly after prayers.
The late delegate was seen being helped to a seat by an aide on Wednesday afternoon, when he attempted to walk to where his car was parked but couldn’t as a result of fatigue.
Meanwhile, President Goodluck Jonathan has commiserated with members of the Association of Retired Police Officers on the passing away of Alhaji Misau.
President Jonathan, in a statement issued by Reuben Abati, the Special Adviser on Media, also extended condolences to Alhaji Misau’s family, the government and people of Bauchi State, as well as the Chairman of the National Conference, Justice Idris Kutigi and all of the deceased’s co-delegates.
The President joined them in mourning Misau, who he said, “patriotically served his nation, state and community throughout his 34 years of distinguished service in the Nigeria Police Force and even in retirement, continued to be actively engaged with efforts to move the nation forward as shown by his participation in the National Conference.”
Jonathan urged all delegates to the National Conference to resolve to honour Misau’s memory “by rededicating themselves to working conscientiously towards further strengthening of national unity, and promoting peace, security, political stability and faster development in the country.”
