Boko Haram Attacks Again

Suspected Boko Haram gunmen raided at least eight communities in Adamawa and Borno states on Thursday, killing scores of people.
Some of the affected areas are the ones bordering Cameroon Republic, Gwoza, Askira Cuba LGA of Borno State and Madagali, Gulak LGA of Borno State.

Vanguard reports with reference to reliable sources that the terrorists, who split into groups, invaded several villages of Adamawa State at 2 p.m. and started shooting (with casualties), burning houses, churches and other property.

A unanimous eyewitness of the attack in Kirshinga, Adamawa, confirmed that insurgents killed many village residents and caused substantial harm to the property. According to him, in fear for their lives locals ran into the bush adding that there were no military in the area to confront the gunmen.

A resident on Maidiguri, whose wife hails from the affected Yaza village, Adamawa State, said that her relatives informed them about the attacks launched by Boko Haram, who also used explosives to destroy houses.

The attempts to contact the officials of Borno State police yielded no results, however Vanguard received confirmation regarding separate attacks in various communities of two states from the top security source.
