Dolly Parton might have to clear some time in her nine to five schedule after she offered to adopt a dog left behind at Glastonbury.
The singer, who gave her first ever
performance at the event in Somerset a week ago, said she would take in the
white lurcher, if the owner is not found.
The cute canine was discovered in
one of the 5,000 discarded tents during the massive clean-up operation at the
Worthy Farm festival site.
It was taken in by Happy Landings
animal shelter in Pylle, Somerset, and named Dolly in honour of the country legend.
An appeal was launched on social media to
trace the owners but so far no one has come forward.
Dolly, 68, sent a video message
saying she is "very honoured and flattered" that the dog had been
named after her.
She added: "I had my manager
call the Happy Landings animal shelter to make sure the dog is being treated
and cared for properly.
