"I'm the smartest celebrity you've ever dealt with, I'm not Britney Spears" - Kanye West

Kanye West has claimed he is the "smartest celebrity" and is "not Britney Spears" in leaked legal papers.
The rapper was giving evidence in the case where he was accused of assaulting photographer Daniel Ramos at LAX airport last year.

 According to the deposition transcript, West told the paparazzo's lawyer Nate Goldberg: "I'm in the business of trying to make dope s**t for the world.

 "You're in the business of representing scums and trying to make as much money as long as there's this lapse in the law."

 After swearing under oath, he said:

 Spears reportedly attacked Mr Ramos with an umbrella in 2007.

Twitter users disagreed somewhat with West's opinion of himself with some saying the comment proves he is in fact the opposite of smart.

During the hearing Mr Goldberg questioned West about his song Flashing Lights, which is a rant about the paparazzi, and quoted from the song: "Till I get flashed by the paparazzi, damn these n*****rs got me."

 But this did not go down well with the singer who interrupted him to say the lawyer had to have a "hall pass" to use the expletive.

 "You can't just say the n-word around me. It offends me because you're a white person saying n****r," he said.

 West, who has a daughter with his wife Kim Kardashian, is sarcastic throughout the questioning.

West was sentenced to two year’s probation, 250 hours of community service and anger management sessions after pleading no contest to the battery charge.
