The album will be third to
contain Houston’s recordings since her death in February 2012.
Music mogul Clive Davis is
set to release Whitney Houston’s first-ever live album in November, Davis
announced on Tuesday.
Davis said in a statement
that the album will “stun everyone”. “It definitely shows why she was totally
unique, absolutely in the first rank of all time. For me, it’s been very
emotional,” Davis said. “The set vividly confirms that there really was no one
like her. It also makes the tragedy of losing her so young so very painful.”
Whitney Houston Live: Her
Greatest Performances is due for a 10 November release. The album will contain
16 live songs and 19 live performances on DVD, including Houston’s 1994
performance of I Will Always Love You at The Concert for a New South Africa and
1991 performance of The Star Spangled Banner at Super Bowl XXV.
