Bomb Blasts At Primary School Playing Ground

An explosion rocked through Potiskum, Yobe State, on December 28, 2014, killing one person.
According to an eyewitness the blast occurred at the Arikime Primary School playing ground and killed a sugar-cane vendor who was returning home.

The device reportedly went off prematurely. It is believed that the bomb planted in the area targeted at the footballers, with the attacker’s aim to kill the players who usually besiege the busy Arikime.

A witness disclosed:
“The innocent wheelbarrow pusher runs into the embedded explosive leading to his death and I can assure you that the death toll this morning would have been much if not for the early trigger which claimed just one life.”

The information is yet to be officially confirmed.
