Sadly, there
are insinuations that the Federal Government has abandoned the victims and this
report made by Sahara Reporters came up with Photo evidence.
The report
made it known that although president Goodluck Jonathan urged Nigerians on
Christmas day to support Boko Haram victims and pray them, he has faulted in
his speech it has been discovered that he himself has abandoned them.
According to
the photo-journalists that visited the camp set up for victims of Boko Haram
insurgency in the federal capital Territory in Abuja, the deplorable state of
the camp is something to talk about.
According to
the journalist in his own word….
“What we saw was a deplorable and
appalling condition of the victims of Boko Haram violence that had been
resettled in a camp in Abuja, the victims who are from different parts of
Nigeria, particularly, the Northeast states ravaged by the insurgency. They
were “resettled” in Internally Displaced Persons (IDP) camp in Abuja.
These victims survive on the foods and
relief materials brought by the faith-based organizations like churches and
mosques, obviously the government that told its citizens to care about the IDPs
do not give a damn about them.”
