French President Comfort Mother Of Dead Police Woman

President Hollande led the ceremony in the courtyard of the Prefecture de Police, Paris' police headquarters, where he vowed that France would "never yield" to terror in an emotional tribute to the officers.
French President François Hollande comforted the mother of policewoman Clarissa Jean-Philippe, who was killed during three days of violence in the French capital.

The president laid the Legion d'honneur medal on coffins draped in the French flag as the families of the victims looked on.

Meanwhile, the funeral procession of four Jewish victims of the Paris attacks has begun in Jerusalem.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and other public figures gathered for the burial of Yohan Cohen, Yoav Hattab, Francois-Michel Saada and Phillipe Braham.

The four were killed in the hostage stand-off on Friday at a kosher supermarket in Paris.

They are among 17 people who were killed in multiple terror attacks carried out last week by Islamic fighters claiming allegiance to al Qaeda and the Islamic State jihadist groups.

Officers killed the hostage-taker, Amedy Coulibaly, who claimed to belong to the Islamic State group.

France will send thousands of police to protect Jewish schools as it mobilises 10,000 troops to boost security after the deadly attacks.

Defence Minister Jean-Yves Le Drian said troops would be in place from Tuesday evening in sensitive areas.

Meanwhile, the hunt continues for what the French prime minister called a "probably accomplice" to the three days of bloodshed in the capital.
