A man who lives in Florida beheaded
his mother because he felt she kept nagging him about chores, police say.
Christian Jose Gomez, 23,
allegedly used an axe in the attack in the garage of the family home in Oldsmar
on New Year's Eve.
Gomez admitted dumping
48-year-old Maria Suarez Cassagne's head in a bin outside the home.
Her body was found outside
the property near the bins by the suspect's 26-year-old brother, who called
police at 7.22pm on Wednesday.
Lt Brady said Gomez had
been planning the murder for two days because he was angry at his mother
badgering him to put some boxes in the attic.
Officers found him riding a
bicycle in the area and apprehended him after a foot chase when he failed to
stop.
He is in custody charged
with first-degree murder, said police.
