According to Yahoo news, Parsons
has attracted publicity after being identified as one of the supporters in shot
just after the disgraceful incident occurred prior to Chelsea’s 1-1 draw with
PSG.
There is no suggestion that
Parsons was involved in pushing the black man off the Metro carriage, or
chanting “we’re racist, we’re racist, we’re racist, and that’s the way we like
it” in scenes which have disgusted football.
However, his employers,
Business and Commercial Finance Club, have suspended Parsons while they carry
out a full investigation into the incident.
A company spokesman said:
“We are utterly opposed to racism in all of its forms and would never tolerate
racist conduct among any employee.
"We are investigating
the events in Paris and Mr Parsons will not return to work until we have
conducted a full and thorough investigation.”
Parsons also made headlines
on Thursday when an image emerged of him posing with UKIP leader Nigel Farage
on Instagram, with a caption reading: “UKIP BOYS! What a geezer.”
