Mother Arrested Children's Dead Bodies Found In Freezer

In America mother of a boy and girl whose bodies were found in a freezer at the family home have been arrested in Detroit.

A bailiff was carrying out an eviction order when the grim discovery was made on Tuesday. 

Police Chief James Craig said the boy aged about 11 and a 14-year-old girl were found dead in a plastic bag.

The bodies appear to have been frozen for "some time", he added.

Post-mortem examinations will be carried out to determine how the children died.

Police have not disclosed the mother's name.

Two of the woman's other children, aged 11 and 17, have been placed in protective custody after they were found at a neighbour's home.
