109 Arrested For Crossing The Road

Kick Against Indiscipline, KAI, are at work one-hundred and nine persons were arrested over the weekend of 27th of August 2015 by men of Rapid Response Squad, RRS, of Lagos State Police Command, and officials of Kick Against Indiscipline, KAI, for crossing the expressway at Ketu Bus Stop, along Ikorodu road.
Use the pedestrian bridge was the word KAI preached.
The arrest, according to Mr. Olatunji Disu, RRS Commander, is to instil discipline towards the use of pedestrian bridges in the state to prevent loss of lives on highways and ease the free-flow of traffic.

Among those arrested were 102 men and seven women.
In another development, fleeing robbers, weekend, opened fire on a team of policemen attached to RRS in Ikeja area of Lagos.

However, they were reportedly forced to abandon their operational vehicle, a Toyota Camry with number plates GGE 204 DG and fled into the bush.
Recovered from the abandoned car were six mobile phones, an axe, a pair of canvass, passport photograph, taxi signboard and documents.


The robbers, according to Disu, an Assistant Commissio-ner of Police, attacked a couple, Mr. and Mrs John Udoh, who were on their way to board an East-bound vehicle at about 5.40a.m., Saturday.
