I like Pastor Ashimolowo as a man of
God, but I kind of disagree with Pastor Ashimolowo on this one, Nigeria need
these stolen resources to move forward, billions were allocated for fire arms,
electricity, security etc, and these funds were mismanaged. Atleast Buhari needs to recover
some if not all, dipping into the insufficient national treasury to tackle the
same problem in which billions had already been allocated is taken us backward
and not forward. The money can be used for something else. Let’s tackle
corruption Big Time! May be Buhari should work more on division of labour,
maybe delegates other roles with maximum supervision.
As for using rear mirror permanently,
is not permanent Nigeria needs to manoeuvre to be on the right route and that
rear mirror is just very crucial to the driver at this moment Nigeria is at
that moment, we need to give him time.-Blogger TtK
Pastor Matthew Ashimolowo,
Senior Pastor of Kingsway International Christian Centre, KICC, who gave the
advice, said going by Parento’s Principle, the Federal Government
should
dedicate twenty per cent of its resources to going after perceived looters,
while 80 per cent should be given to creating an enabling environment for
Nigerians.
Speaking to journalists at
the 10th edition of the annual widows New Year party in Ode-Omu, Osun State, he
said: “President Buhari is a man of great integrity, who wants the best for the
country. But if he spends all his time pursuing looters, the majority of us who
did not steal will suffer.
“Therefore, he must use the
Parento’s Principle to approach governance. If you have your eyes permanently
on the rear view mirror, you cannot drive fast. The past deserves just 20 per
cent attention.”
