Lady Whose Sister Was Murdered In Thailand Cries Out n Warns Others

Writing on her Facebook page, in a post shared more than 2,000 times, Laura Witheridge urged people to stay away from Thailand.

She said despite its beauty there were hidden "dangers" in the popular holiday destination and that "no one is immune".

Ms Witheridge claimed judges and court officials had treated her family with contempt, telling them: "Why are you so bothered? Just go home and make another one", and "Why are you here? Why do you care? She is dead already."

The sister of murdered British backpacker Hannah Witheridge says Thai authorities made deeply insensitive comments about her killing and revealed she now lives in fear after "many death threats".

Hannah Witheridge, 23, and David Miller, 24, were brutally killed on the island of Koh Tao in September 2014.

They both suffered severe head wounds and their bodies were left on the beach. Miss Witheridge had also been raped.

Two Burmese migrant workers were sentenced to death for the murders last month.

The men said they were tortured into an early confession and their defence team argued that DNA evidence was mishandled by police - claims they reject.

She also revealed she is "frightened of my own shadow" after getting death threats, with some saying the "killers had only done 'half the job'".

"What if I told you that people commented on these photographs saying things like 'there is still time', and 'tick tock tick tock'," posted Ms Witheridge.

"What if I told you that I have been sent crime scene photographs? What if I told you that I have been chased in my car?"

Hackers from the Anonymous group attacked Thai police websites last week over the convictions of the men sentenced to death for killing the two Britons.

The words "Failed Law", "We Want Justice", and a hashtag #BoycottThailand were displayed on some of the sites.
