Face slashing seems to be
becoming frequent in the recent attacks reported in New York; a man was
reported to have been slashed in the face.
A police confirm that face
slashing attack has been reported in New York sixth time within the last month.
The victim, a 27-year-old,
was assaulted on Sunday morning in a station in the Harlem neighbourhood of the
city.
He was waiting for a No. 2
train just after 3am when he started arguing with a woman on the platform.
Police said that after she
asked another man for help, he slashed the victim and fled the scene.
The man has received
stitches in hospital and is in a stable condition, CBS New York reported.
Though four suspect have been arrested.
Last Monday, a 71-year-old
woman was slashed on a train that was arriving at Manhattan's
Broadway-Lafayette station.
Amanda Morris, 24, was
walking to work at Whole Foods on 6 January when a man who had been walking
beside her slashed her face and ran away.
A 29-year-old woman was cut
on her hand when she bumped into a man with a knife on a train in Brooklyn on
Tuesday, police said.
In another case, Anthony
Christopher Smith, 30, was slashed in broad daylight on 17 January while
walking down an East Village street listening to music on his headphones.
The attacker walked away
afterwards, leaving Mr Smith in need of 150 stitches to his face.
