Singer Wizkid has again
emerged the Best African Act at the 2016 Ghana Music Awards.
The Multiple award winner Wizkid,
whose collaboration with Drake, has shot him up as the top Nigerian act on
Spotify, clinched the laurel for the second time after winning it first in
2013.
Currently on a tour of
Africa, Wizkid, who was present on the occasion to accept the award also made a
rare announcement at the event.
He used the opportunity of
the night to announce and welcome Ghanaian acts, Efya, R2Bees and Mr Easi as
newly signed acts on his Starboy Records.
