Earlier this year, actress Kerry
Washington addressed the ongoing rumours that her marriage to sporting ace Nigerian
Nnamdi was in trouble, making it clear she has no interest in speaking about
her personal life.
Kerry Washington has given
birth to a boy. This is the second child for the 39-year-old and her husband
Nnamdi Asomugha.
According to E! News, the
couple's son - who was born on October 5 - has been named Caleb Kelechi, which
means "devotion to God" in Hebrew.
Kerry, who also shares
two-year-old daughter Isabelle Amarachi with her partner, revealed she was
pregnant in May when she showed off a bump at the White House Correspondents'
Association Dinner in Washington, DC.
The notoriously private
couple secretly tied the knot in 2013 in Hailey, Idaho. They welcomed their
first child at the Cedars-Sinai Medical Centre a year later, however both Kerry
and Nnamdi managed to keep news of her arrival a secret for 11 days.
The American star
previously admitted that she felt that motherhood allowed her to focus on
"being the best version" of herself.
"I've been really
focused on not being 'back' to anything, but being the best version of myself
right now," she told Self Magazine. "My body is the site of a miracle
now. I don't want to be pre-miracle."
Congratulations girl
