Gunmen Invades Court Held Sitting Judge Hostage

Benue state was in chaos on Wednesday, November 2, 2016 when over ten gunmen invaded three different courts in the state shooting into the air.
The gunmen who sporadically shot into the air also held a sitting judge hostage during their attack. News agency of Nigeria reports that residents fled in various directions during the incident.

It was also gathered that the attackers invaded Benue state High Court 9, a chief Magistrate Court and the Upper Area Court – all Benue state. Also, wife of the deputy governor, Justice Mary Abounu was seated when the incident happened.
