The woman had been on board the Isle of Inishmore ferry and was last seen alive at 3am.
Rescuers searching for a ferry passenger who fell overboard have said a body has been found.
The woman was reported missing in the Irish sea by the crew of the vessel sailing from Pembroke to Rosslare.

The coastguard tweeted police in Wales had confirmed a body had been located in the Lawrenny area of Pembrokeshire.

The alarm was raised at 8.15am.
A statement from the coastguard said: "The body has not been formally identified at this time.
"Dyfed Powys police officers are working closely with specialist recovery teams from HM Coastguard and the ambulance service to recover the female body.

"Our thoughts are with the family at this sad time. Further information will be released when available from Dyfed Powys Police." 
Three coastguard helicopters from Ireland and the UK were involved in the search, along with lifeboats.
