The former
Ekiti state governor Kayode Fayemi has denied any involvement in the problems
his successor is facing.
Fayose had
earlier accused the duo of being behind a plan to impeach him.
The governor,
in a statement said, plans have been concluded to execute a conspiracy against
him.
He also petitioned the
chief justice to investigate a conspiracy between the duo and some judges.
“This time, the plotters of
this judicial coup-de-tat plan to procure the services of a compromised judge
to get self-serving jankara and kangaroo judgment with the intention of having
the Supreme Court reverse itself on the June 2014 Ekiti election, ” Fayose had
said.
But denying the allegation,
Fayemi said Fayose’s allegations are irresponsible and baseless.
Fayemi’s spokesperson Yinka
Oyebode in a statement said: “And one is not surprised at this, because under
Fayose, falsehood has been elevated to the level of statecraft, sustained by
machinery of state.”
Also Oni’s media aide Ayo
Akinyemi said: “Fayose himself knows that no judiciary can remove him now
because he enjoys immunity until the expiration of his tenure on October 15,
2018. He can only be investigated, so what is Fayose talking about?”
Oni said the governor is
only afraid of facing the justice when he loses his immunity as a governor.
he talks too much can't he keep quiet
