Evans whose arrest on
Saturday, June 10 sparked public commendation is being kept in a maximum
security cell and according to The Nations, he is concerned about where he is
being kept.
Billionaire kidnapper,
Chukwudemeje George Onwuamadike, who is popularly known as Evans has broken
down in the cell where he is being kept complaining about his welfare.
It was reported that Evans
broke down in tears on Wednesday, June 14 crying that in spite of his wealth
and status, he was being held among poor criminals.
A source also revealed that
Evans has started to reveal damaging confessions saying he started off as a
robber in Sokoto.
He also revealed during
interrogation that he had two other detention camps in Lagos. The source said:
“He has been weeping uncontrollably because he is in a cell with common poor
criminals despite all the wealth and mansions he owned.
“He has started talking. He
has given us locations of other detention camps he had in Lagos. Aside Igando,
he had two others and detectives would visit the place. He also said that his
very first robbery was in Sokoto State and that they killed the victim. “He is
still being interrogated and more details would come out after the camps have
been visited.”
Meanwhile, Stephen
Onwuamadike, the father of Evans is blaming his son’s notorious antics on
Evans' mother. According to New Telegraph, Onwuamadike claimed Evans had been
manipulated by his mother since he was 3 years old. He claimed to have once
been wealthy but had been thrown into poverty by Evans' mother, who reportedly
left him penniless.
Onwuamadike claimed he had
no idea that Evans had become so wealthy through such nefarious activities as
he had not seen him since 2008 when he had warned him to stay away from illegal
activities.
