There’s been
a jail break in Kogi State, and the two suspected political thugs linked to
Senator Dino Melaye representing Kogi West in the Nigerian senate, reportedly
escaped.
The Kogi
State Police Command who reacted to the jail break and also disclosed that they
have alerted Interpol, informed Nigerians on the need to share information that
will lead to the arrest of Senator Dino Melaye, Mohammed Abubakar who is the
son of former Kogi state governor Abubakar Audu or any of the criminals that
are currently on the run.
Addressing
newsmen in Lokoja, today in his office, the State Commissioner of Police, Ali
Janga, said the suspects alongside four others escaped from the SARS cell
located in A. Division Lokoja, Kogi State. The jail break he disclosed occurred
at midnight adding that aside the two suspects, other high profile criminals in
the Cell also took the advantage to escape.
Suspects who
escaped include: Kabiru Saidu aka Osama, Nuhu Salish aka Small, Aliyu Isa,
Adams Suleiman, Emmanuel Audu and Musa Mohammed.

The Nigeria Police Force,
Kogi State Police Command today 28th March, 2018 received a news that six (6)
suspected criminal elements namely; Kabiru Seidu a.k.a Osama, Nuhu Salisu a.k.a
Small, Aliyu Isa, Adams Suleiman, Emmanuel Audu and Musa Mohammed who were
under detention at the ‘A’ Division Lokoja escaped from lawful custody. Four of
the suspects were on court remand including two that indicted Senator Dino
Melaye and Mohammed Audi.
2. Consequently, all the
six suspects, Senator Dino Melaye and Mohammed Audu were sent for watch listing
and red notice by the INTERPOL for immediate arrest anywhere we see them.
3. The Command hereby
appealed to the members of the public to assist the Police with useful
information on the whereabouts of the suspects by reporting to the nearest
Police Station.
4. Investigation into the
unfortunate incident is on-going, while the thirteen (13) Police Officers who
were on duty when the incident occurred were defaulted and detained for
interrogation.
5. Members of the public
are hereby enjoined to go about their lawful duty as the Command is determined
in ensuring adequate security of lives and property in Kogi State.
