Boko Haram Attacks Borno Village, Herders Raze Community

Boko Haram insurgents, on Wednesday, unleashed a fresh attack on Auno town community in Kada local government area of Borno state.
Auno is less than 15km from Maiduguri. A town situated along Kano–Maiduguri road, under konduga local government area.

The insurgents invaded the village with gun trucks and tricycles but security operatives succeeded in repelling the militants.

The incident comes one week after insurgents tried to invade Maiduguri, Borno capital, but were pushed back by a combined team of air force, police and the army.

In the same vein, three communities in Numan Local government area of Adamawa State, Bolki, Bang and Gon have been attacked by armed bandits suspected to be herdsmen.

According to the Chairman of Numan Local Government Area, Arnold Jibla, many houses were also razed down in the attack while the number of casualties cannot be accounted for yet.
Local residents who spoke from Bang, a border community between Adamawa and Taraba States, said the entire village has been razed down.

The armed bandits were said to have stormed the village in large numbers in the wee hours of Wednesday unleashing mayhem on unsuspecting villagers.
