Fayose’s Aides Bans From Voting At Primary

The appointees of Governor Ayo Fayose has been disqualified from voting at the exercise ahead of the governorship primary of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, in Ekiti State.

This became necessary, according to the party, in order to ensure transparency in the primary election. The disqualification was revealed following the release of the list of delegates by the party’s national leadership which was signed by the National Organising Secretary, Col. Chris Akobundu (retd).

The decision he said was reached by the National Working Committee, NWC, in consonance with the Ekiti PDP Peace and Reconciliation Committee led by former Senate President, David Mark. Sources revealed to newsmen yesterday in Ado-Ekiti that only serving and former elected officials would be allowed to vote at the primary scheduled for tomorrow. Among prominent aides of Fayose who have been asked to stay away from the venue of the primary, include Secretary to the State Government, Dr. Modupe Alade and Chief of Staff to the Governor, Chief Dipo Anisulowo.
