Nigeria’s Under 20 team,
the Flying Eagles will battle Mauritania in the final round of qualifiers for a
place in the 2019 AFCON in Niger after they defeated Guinea Bissau in Calabar
by alone goal over the weekend.
Having played a 2-2 draw in
the first leg in Bissau, Seven-time African champions, Nigeria, qualified for
the last round courtesy of a 3-2 aggregate win against the Guineans..

Alhassan Ibrahim scored the winning goal from the penalty spot in the 58th
minute after Wasiu Alalade was fouled inside the box.
Coach Paul Aigbogun and his
wards now have to prepare hard for the final round of the series, with
Mauritania, conquerors of Guinea, the opponents in the month of July.
The Mauritanians won the
first leg in Nouakchott 1-0 last weekend and then scraped through on the away
goal rule after Guinea could only win 3-2 in Conakry on Saturday.
The finals of the 2019
Africa U20 Cup of Nations will hold in the Niger Republic early next year.
