Syrian National Kidnap Gunmen Kill Three Policemen

A Syrian national, Abul Nasir, working with Triacta Construction Company was on Wednesday kidnapped by unknown gunmen in Sokoto State.
The bandits were reported to have killed three policemen attached to the expatriate.

According to Cordelia Nwawe, Sokoto State Command’s Public Relations Officer, the incident occurred about 7:20a.m at the company’s quarry site at Lambar Mazaru village in Bodinga Local Government Area.
She said the police had commenced investigation into the issue with a view to releasing the abducted Syrian national and arresting the culprits.

The company’s security men guarding the quarry said four hoodlums, who drove in a car with tinted glasses, attacked the place.
They said the gunmen opened fire on the policemen immediately they arrived the quarry.

They said the kidnapped expatriate was the manager of the site.

A source said the bodies of the affected policemen have since been removed and deposited in a mortuary at Usmanu Danfodiyo University Teaching Hospital, Sokoto.
