"We will leave APC, with or without Saraki" - Former nPDP Chairman Threatens

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has given Saraki and some other politicians two week to take its decision about joining the party.

The former chairman of the new Peoples Democratic Party (nPDP), Abubakar Baraje, has said that members of the party is set to leave the ruling All progressives Congress (APC).

Baraje said that members of the nPDP and all supporters of the Senate President will leave the APc with or without Bukola Saraki.

Vanguard reports that the nPDP chieftain said all members of the party have agreed to dump the ruling party.

Baraje also described as an embarrassment, the alleged juicy offer of appointment being made by the presidency.

He said he is surprised and shocked at the desperation of the APC to woo the Senate President the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Yakubu Dogara and other aggrieved members of the the party.

Baraje said: ”The followers of the Senate President particularly from Kwara state and across the country have already resolved to leave the APC with or without Saraki , so it is now left for the Senate President to take a decision more so that he is an experienced and a seasoned politician.”

“As far as I know, there is no juicy position that can replace the kind of embarrassment , debasement and horrifying experiences many of us have suffered and gone through in the hands of some few mischievous members of the APC, it’s quite unfortunate.

If the Senate President feels it is fit for him to stay back, all is well and good. But the Senate President as a leader also has his supporters and followers and if they have decided to leave the party , I don’t know what he (Saraki) will still be doing behind," Baraje said.

He also noted that Saraki has the sole right to either take such juicy position or jettison it.

The opposition said the deadline given to the top APC politicians is to enable them take a decision about their political stance in Nigeria.

Other politicians who received the deadline are some governors; Aminu Waziri Tambuwal (Sokoto); Abdulfatah Ahmed (Kwara); Samuel Ortom (Benue); Ex-governor Rabiu Kwankwaso, many senators and members of the House of Representatives.
