Late Queen of Soul music Aretha Franklin who passed on August 16 surprisingly left no written will for her vast $80 million estate.
The iconic singer died aged 76 and according to court documents obtained by TMZ, the singer died “intestate” — meaning she had no will at the time of death.
The revelation is quite shocking given that Ms Franklin has a special needs son named Clarence who requires financial and other forms of support for his entire life.
Aretha was ill for several years, but apparently did not see the end coming, or possibly a will was low on the priority list.
