Manchester United, suffered a shock 3-2 defeat to lowly-ranked Brighton & Hove Albion on Sunday, August 19 in a tough Premier League tie played at the Amex Stadium.
Manchester United captain Paul Pogba has criticized severely the attitude of the entire Red Devils squad members.
According to a UK Sun report citing sources at MUTV the Frenchman confessed that their poor attitude contributed to Brighton’s 3-2 win over Manchester United following up last season’s surprise 1-0 Premier League win at the same venue.

Speaking after the match Pogba said: “I put myself first, my attitude wasn’t right. I should have done much better, made less mistakes and controlled the game.
“Brighton had more hunger. Our performance was not good enough.

“It’s twice in a row we’ve lost against Brighton and that shouldn’t happen. Last year we had almost the same attitude and it’s not right.
“I’m disappointed with my own performance and the team performance. The attitude we had was not like we wanted to beat them.

“I know we cannot always play very well, but at least the attitude has to be right and we missed that today.

“It was a bad performance from all of us. We have to wake up for the next game.”

The encounter saw Brighton race into a two-goal advantage courtesy of goals from Glenn Murray and Shane Duffy within three minutes of each other thanks to the Red Devils dismal defending.

Belgium forward Romelu Lukaku replied one back but Albion made it 3-1 at the end of the first stanza when Pascal Gross scored from the penalty spot after he was fouled by Ivorian ace Eric Bailly.

The summer World Cup winner Pogba later redeemed some respect for the Old Trafford side after scoring from the spot but it was far too late for a comeback.
And the Frenchman acknowledged that Manchester United supporters had every right to be angry at their club’s terrible performance.
“They should be very mad today. We are very mad, everybody is very mad.

“We made mistakes we shouldn’t make,” the 25-year-old Pogba told the club’s own channel MUTV.

The duo of Bailly and Victor Lindelof were culpable and further emphasized Portuguese boss Jose Mourinho’s need for a quality centre-back during the summer transfer window.
Paul Pogba admits Manchester United lacked quality in Brighton defeat.
The Red Devils were looking to continue their impressive run into the new season when they traveled to the South Coast to face Chris Hughton's men.

United kicked off their campaign with a 2-1 convincing win over Leicester City at Old Trafford, with Paul Pogba and Luke Shaw handing Jose Mourinho a deserving victory.
