The gigantic 597 ft monument of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel who is regarded as one of the founding fathers of India is 200ft taller than the previous record holder and is almost twice the height of the Statue of Liberty.
The Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the 597ft tall statue of India’s late independence leader Sardar Vallabbhai Patel on the bank of the Narmada river in Kevadia, in the western state of Gujarat.

The statue was unveiled nearly after 5 years of construction which cost £450million.
