The Nigerian entertainment
industry is the way it is today because of some veterans in the country.
However some of them seem to be languishing in poverty and ill health.
It is no news that the
industry was not as lucrative during their time. Legit.ng previously reported
that veteran actor, Babatunde ‘Baba Suwe’ Omidina, has been down with an
unknown sickness. He however needed financial assistance to take care of
himself.
The news of his sickness
hit social media and many well-meaning Nigerians donated to his cause including
a London-based Nigerian preacher, Abimbola Esther Ajayi, also known as Iya
Adura.
Iya Adura is the general
overseer of Love of Christ Generational Cherubim and Seraphim Church in
Clapham, London.
She donated the huge sum of
N10 million to Baba Suwe to enable him seek treatment abroad and the actor
could not contain his joy.
In a recent interview with
Goldmyne TV, the thespian revealed that he almost fainted after receiving the
money. He also added that he was so excited that he let out a fart.

Meanwhile Legit.ng
previously reported that the actor's first son, Adesola Omidina, has thanked Nigerians
for coming to his father's aid.
The young man mentioned the
individuals and groups who raised a helping hand just so his father could
quickly recover. Some of the people he mentioned include the current vice
president of Nigeria Yemi Osinbajo, the TAMPAN association, individual actors,
friends and relatives.
