Gatwick is the worst airport in Europe to spend time in, a new study has found.
Number of shops, food and drink
options as well as facilities such as lounges and wifi were factors considered
by the research carried out.
Gatwick received the low ranking
for its relatively limited number of food and drink options at just 39.
With just 51 shops, it also scored poorly on the retail ranking.
Additionally, just two thirds of customers were satisfied with the wifi and lounge facilities, according to the research by betting company Betway.
The top-rated airport globally was Singapore’s Changi Airport which has more than 200 food and drink facilities and shops.
Incheon International Airport in South Korea offered the highest wifi satisfaction score with 92 per cent of travellers saying they were satisifed with the internet connection at the airport.
