Woman Shows Up Alive 13 Days After Funeral

Thirteen days after her family thought they had laid her to rest, US woman Sharolyn Jackson has turned up alive.
 
Jackson’s family held a service on August 3 after the Philadelphia Medical Examiner signed her death certificate and a body. thought to be Jackson’s, was buried.
On Friday, August 16, the 50-year-old was identified at a mental health facility, CBS reports.
“You know you feel you’re just about to get over it, that she’s dead, then [her son] Travis comes here with the good news that she’s alive,” Jackson’s father Dave Minnie said.
 
A mystery hangs over the identity of the buried woman, whose body was found dead from natural causeson a West Philadelphia street on July 20, two days after Ms Jackson was reported missing.
Both Jackson’s son and a social worker who knew the missing woman positively identified pictures of the deceased woman as Ms Jackson, allowing a death certificate to be issued and funeral arrangements to be made.

City officials are expected to seek an order to exhume the unknown body so she can be identified.
While Ms Jackson’s family are delighted she is alive, they expressed sorrow for the family of the woman they buried.
