The London metropolitan police
was left with no choice according to report but to have allegedly shot a man making
threats to kill others.
The suspect left an address
in Barnet before officers arrived at around 9.30 pm last night but two hours
later investigating officers went to Cedar Road in Enfield in North London.
There was a white man,
believed to be in his forties, was shot by an officer.
Residents said he was
killed on the sixth floor of Picardy House, an 11-storey block of flats, and
one apartment was being searched by police.
A non-police gun was found
at the scene.
The incident has been
referred to the Independent Police Complaints Commission as a matter of course.
