According to the latest
news, the seventy-nine-year-old had originally undergone tests and planned to
stay home, but his doctors elected to keep him under observation in hospital
over the weekend.
Klaus Stohlker, a spokesman
for Sepp Blatter, says that the suspended FIFA president is spending the week
in a Swiss hospital following a stress-related incident.
On Wednesday in a statement
Blatter said: “I’m the elected president of FIFA, elected by the FIFA Congress
and its 209 members, and no committee can replace me.”
Blatter is accused of
making illegal payment of $1.99 million to Michel Platini. On September 25,
Swiss investigators announced that they were investigating Blatter.
On October 8, 2015 he was
suspended from FIFA for 90 days while investigations into payments made to
Michel Platini were conducted.
