Dramatic
footage has emerged showing a man being dragged in the street by heavily-armed
police in Brussels.
Two officers
wearing riot gear hold the man - who is dressed in a grey jumper and black
pants - before he falls or is forced to the ground.
Heavily-armed
police drag a man, who appears to have leg injuries, into the street before
bundling him into a black vehicle
The man, who
appears to be suffering from a wound to his leg, is held in the street as other
officers stand guard with automatic weapons.
He is then
forced into the back seat of a black vehicle.
It is not known whether the
man is Salah Abdelslam, who was the subject of a four-month manhunt for his
role in the 13 November Paris attacks.
Belgian authorities have
confirmed that Abdelslam was arrested during a major police operation in the
suburb of Molenbeek.
Local media reports say the
26-year-old was wounded in the leg during the operation.
French President Francois
Hollande has said the capture of Paris attacks suspect Salah Abdeslam is a
major victory, but warned the fight against terrorism is not over.
Europe's most wanted man
was "caught alive" on Friday after being wounded in dramatic police
raid in Belgium's capital Brussels.
"The battle against
terrorism does not end tonight, even though this is a victory," Mr
Hollande told a news conference in Brussels with Belgian Prime Minister Charles
Michel.
