Madagali town shook on
Friday after members of the Boko Haram terrorist sect went on rampage in that
area of Adamawa state setting off multiple bomb explosions.
One of the three female
suicide bombers that detonated their explosive devices in Madagali town on
Friday, January 13 2017 had a baby strapped to her back, the National Emergency
Management Agency (NEMA) has confirmed.
News Agency of Nigeria
(NAN) reports that this bit of detail was revealed by the coordinator of NEMA
for Adamawa and Taraba Operation Office Sa’ad Bello.
“So far we have nine dead
including the three female suicide bombers, while 14 others sustain various
degree of injuries,” Bello added.
NAN reports that the
development was also confirmed by the Executive Secretary of Adamawa State
Emergency Management Agency Malam Haruna Furo, who added that normalcy had
returned to the area.
