The north east zoanl office National Emergency Management Agency, (NEMA), yesterday said six persons were killed, over 180 houses were burnt down in the Wednesday attack launched by Boko Haram insurgents in three Borno villages.
A statement issued by the zonal Information Officer, Abdulkadir Ibrahim said the insurgents attacked three villages in Konduga local government area of the state.
“Suspected Boko Haram insurgents on Wednesday night burnt down three villages in Konduga Local Government Area of Borno, in an attack that left six people dead’.
“The insurgents attacked and set Wanori, Kaleri and Amarwa villages on fire at about 9:00 pm”, the statement said.
“Villagers told rescue officials who went on assessment that the insurgents shot indiscriminately, looted food items before setting the villages on fire. over 180 households were affected by the attack”, it added.
