Some angry youth almost reportedly mobbed the senator representing Bayelsa East Senatorial District, Ben Murray-Bruce, at the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) secretariat in Yenagoa, the Bayelsa State capital, on Friday.
According to report by SaharaReporters, the lawmaker escaped by a whisker as he was confronted by some angry youth after his screening exercise at the party’s secretariat.
It was gathered that the youth were angry because they had not felt the influence of his representation of the constituency.
They blocked his vehicle and demanded that the senator “drops” some money before leaving the party secretariat, on the premise that his presence at the National Assembly had not translated to much impact in the area.
One of the angry youth identified as Ebi Kaka, said: “The senator has neglected us since he was elected and now he is seeking re-election.”
