Following the win over
Switzerland, Gary Neville recorded his latest Sky Sports podcast.
The topic of Rashford’s
current standing at Man United came up.
Rashford has yet to play 90
minutes for United this season.
Against Leicester in week
one, Rashford only played 66 minutes in the 2-1 United win.
In the Brighton defeat in
week two Rashford only got 45 minutes on the pitch.
Rashford then played no
part in the defeat to Tottenham. While the England international was only on
the turf for 10 minutes at Burnley before he saw red.
Gary Neville has now voiced
his opinion on what Rashford needs to do next in his career:
What he does have to do in
these next 12 to 18 months is to establish himself in one position and play 100
games there.
Because he plays left, he
play right, he plays centre-forward and he often he comes off the bench.
And it’s difficult for him.
There’s no doubt he’s getting great experience and he’s had a great start to
his career.
But what he doesn’t want to
do is fall into that category of someone who continues in that mould.
Everton & Chelsea
Everton and Chelsea lead
the way with Ladbrokes in the race for Marcus Rashford’s signature.
Following comments from
Jamie Carragher suggesting the Man United man may have to leave Old Trafford to
reach his full potential, the bookies have priced up potential destinations for
the England ace.
And as things stand it’s
Everton and Chelsea who are the 4/1 favourites to make a move, while Arsenal
are just behind in the betting at 9/2.
Elsehwere, the bookies
reckon Wolves (8/1) have more chance of striking a deal than Real Madrid
(10/1), Dortmund (10/1) and Barcelona (14/1).
Alex Apati of Ladbrokes said:
“It’s unlikely Rashford will lead the line at United on a regular basis any
time soon. And were he to leave, we reckon there’ll be plenty in the running
for his signature.”
