

Newman Babson, reports that
Ladoja who is the leader of African Democratic Congress (ADC) in the state, was
reported to have collapsed during a meeting he held in Ibadan to review the
chance of the party in the next week's gubernatorial election in Osun state.
Former governor of Oyo
state, Senator Rashidi Adewolu Ladoja has been reportedly rushed to the
University College Hospital (UCH) in Ibadan, the capital of the state, over
undisclosed ailment.
He was reported to have
been involved in serious campaigns for his party in the state for the coming
election
According to witness, it
was not a serious issue but confirmed of his admission at the Intensive Care
Unit of the hospital, adding that he would soon be discharged
"There is nothing to
fear about as our leader will return home either Friday or Sunday. He only
needs some rests. The stress is too much", the source said.
It was gathered that no
official detail concerning his ailment has been confirmed but a member of the
party suspected that it might be age factor.
Senator Ladoja had on
Thursday, September 13, led other members of his party to Ile Ife in Osun state
to campaign for the party’s candidate at the fast approaching gubernatorial
election in the state.
Former governors of Osun
and Oyo states, Olagunsoye Oyinlola and Rashidi Ladoja, would lead the African
Democratic Congress (ADC) Osun state campaign committee.
It was reported that the
party also expressed confidence in its candidate, Alhaji Fatai Akinbade, and
his running mate, Justice Folahanmi Oloyede, (retd.), to emerge victorious in
the September 22 governorship election in Osun state.
