Nigerian Man Trafficking Teenage Girls To Mali Sentence To 7 Years In Prison

A Federal High Court sitting in Ikoyi, Lagos, sentenced 25- year old man, Eric David, to seven years imprisonment for human trafficking.
The Nigerian man identified as, Eric David, has bagged 7 years in jail for trafficking a teenage girl from Lagos state to Mali.
The convict was arrested on the allegation of trafficking a 19 year old girl to Mali for prostitution. 
Investigations revealed that after he had trafficked the victim to Mali, he returned to Nigeria to recruit more girls.

However, in the process, the victim was able to contact her sister, Juliet, who pretended to also be interested in travelling to Mali. When she contacted Eric and he agreed to come pick her, the suspect was nabbed.
A four-count charge was preferred against him when he was arraigned on the 5th of December 2018.
Due to the overwhelming evidences tendered by the prosecutor, the convict pleaded guilty to the charges and was sentenced to seven years imprisonment.
