Manchester United’s players
are reportedly furious with one another following their 4-0 defeat to Everton.
Having lost six of their
last eight, the mood at the club has come crashing down.
After the game at Goodison
Park, the players held a furious inquest identifying the reason behind the
performance.

Manchester United’s players
blamed one another for Sunday’s crushing defeat to Everton, according to the
Daily Mail.
Following the game, the
players engaged in a heated debate which could be heard from outside the
dressing room.
Fingers were pointed at
each other as an inquest begun as to who was to blame for the defeat.
After returning to
Carrington, the arguments recommenced lasting around an hour.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and
his assistant Mike Phelan then held talks over their plans for recruitment in
the summer.
United were stunned by the
Toffees at Goodison Park after they were hit for four in a damaging game for
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
Richarlison, Gylfi
Sigurdsson, Lucas Digne and Theo Walcott all got on the scoresheet to inflict a
4-0 defeat on the Red Devils.
It is the fifth time in
their Premier League history that United had conceded four or more goals, and
the result seriously hampers their efforts in reaching the top four.
And one man was singled out
in particular in the defeat after being blamed for letting Everton come through
with too much ease.
Matic has only just
returned from injury before being thrown back into the starting line-up
alongside Paul Pogba and Fred.
But the Serbian was at
fault for the second Toffees goal after allowing Sigurdsson to have a go at
goal, which resulted in an absolute stunner.
Jamie Carragher took aim at
the midfielder at half-time, saying: “Matic has been a really good player for
Chelsea and Manchester United but he’s looked all over the place in his first
game back.
“It’s like he’s towing a
caravan.”
The ex-Liverpool defender
was not the only critical, with Louis Saha also chiming in.
“It’s disturbing. It’s a
really bad show of attitude,” said the former United striker.
“You see some heavy legs,
not the right attitude when something is going bad.
“You feel like there is no
reaction straight away, aggressiveness is not there, the pressing is half done.
“As a Manchester United fan
I can’t understand what I’m seeing here.”
United take on Manchester
City next at Old Trafford on Wednesday night.
