The senior special assistant to the Sokoto governor, Aminu Tambuwal, on special duties, Yusuf Dingyadi, has appealed to the people of the state to pray for the success of the incoming administration.
In a statement issued in Sokoto on Thursday, April 11, and published by the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), Dingyadi also called for peaceful coexistence, respect for each other and tolerance of all political views.
The governor’s aide assured that Tambuwal’s second tenure would usher in more development than what has been recorded in the last four years.
The government official, however, cautioned members of the opposition against attacking the personality of the governor and members of the ruling party.
He thanked religious and community leaders for supporting the governor with their prayers just as he urged them not to relent.
Legit.ng earlier reported that Governor Aminu Waziri Tambuwal of Sokoto state on Sunday, March 31, urged the leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and their supporters to join his administration in moving the state forward.
In a statement by senior special assistant on special duties, Yusuf Dingiadi, in Kaduna, Tambuwal said the March 9 Governorship and State House of Assembly elections were won and lost, “it is time to move on.“
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that Tambuwal said his doors remain open for all to join the PDP-led-government in steering the affairs of state.
