An eyewitness account states that a bus skidded off the road and went up in flames immediately.
An accident involving a commercial bus has claimed the life of at least 5 persons in Ogun State.
The accident occurred at Onigaari along the Lagos-Ibadan expressway, Ogun State.
The accident has now been confirmed by the Ogun State Traffic Compliance and Enforcement (TRACE) corps.
According to TRACE Spokesperson, Cdr Babatunde Akinbiyi, the flames from the vehicle killed at least five persons who were burnt beyond recognition.
The victims have been taken to the morgue at Olabisi Onabanjo University Teaching Hospital (OOUTH).
“We are still gathering information on victims rescued before our arrival.” he said.
